Why Use a DVA Peak Volt Adaptor to Diagnose a Stator?

A stator does not produce steady current. The electricity is instead produced in peaks. If you try to read stator voltage with a simple multimeter, you will get a very low reading, or no reading at all (see Figure 1). This is why a DVA peak volt adaptor is a MUST HAVE when testing and diagnosing stators. This simple tool is able to capture those peaks and deliver them as a steady voltage to the multimeter (see Figure 2). Look at this DVA peak volt adaptor for stators video to see how the DVA peak volt adaptor works.
